FIREFIGHTER COMBAT CHALLENGE

Welcome to the official registration site for the United Fire Brigades' Association 2021 Firefighter Combat Challenge.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Refer to the registration pack for full details and terms and conditions for the Challenge. A summary will be sent to the email address you register with, and will include an invoice for registration costs and any additional partner/supporter ticket(s).

VISITING INDIVIDUAL/TEAM REGISTRATION

You or your team is welcome to attend Challenges outside your Island, provided there is space once all funded individuals/teams are registered. All events outside your own Island are at your own cost as visiting individuals/teams are not funded by the UFBA and will be ineligible for any prize giving places, trophies or medals. Your registration puts you on a waitlist to ensure that all funded individuals/teams get preference for their Island event. Once registration closes, and if there is availability to compete, you will receive a confirmation email and invoice securing your spot.

Click on the link for the Challenge you wish to register for below. For the Island Challenges, if you registering outside your Island you will be re-directed to the visiting individual/team registration site.

FUNDING
This funding chart applies to both Island and National Challenges.

All UFBA Firefighter Combat Challenges will be funded for Individual Competitors and for ONE Tandem and ONE Relay team per UFBA Member Brigade. You are more than welcome to register additional Relay and Tandem teams but only one will be funded and you will be responsible for all costs for any additional team(s).

If your Tandem and/or Relay includes already funded Individuals and there are other Tandem or Relay teams in your Brigade, funding may be passed over to them with written approval from the UFBA Events Team.

The chart below will assist you in clarifying how the funding is distributed.

Not qualified for any funding:

  • Composite teams - made up of members from different Brigades
  • Teams that have not competed in a North or South Island Challenge who wish to attend Nationals
  • Individuals competing in a Island event that is outside of their UFBA Island
  • Partners and Observers
It is at the discretion of the UFBA Events Team and Challenge Panel to restrict funding and/or numbers where necessary in order to fairly benefit all Member Brigades that wish to participate. Please remember, not only are we restricted by funding, we are also restricted by the number of runs we can have on the Challenge day(s).
